Limbaugh Suggests

Prescription drug addict, Rush Limbaugh, had this to say about Republican congressman, Mark Foley's pedophelia:
From the October 2 broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show:

LIMBAUGH: I'm just thinking out loud here. What if somebody got to the page and said, you know, we want you to set Foley up. We need to do a little titillating thing here. Keep it and save it and so forth. How would you get a kid to do that? Yeah, who knows? You threaten him or pay him. There's any number of ways given the kind of people that we're dealing with and talking about here.

Now, folks, I don't want to be misunderstood here. I'm not trying to mount any kind of a defense. That's a bad word. I'm not trying to get into a defense of what Mark Foley did. Please don't misunderstand. I'm just telling you that the -- the -- the orgy and the orgasm that has been taking place in the media since Friday and with the Democrats is -- it's all coordinated, and it's all -- it's all oriented toward the election. There's no concern about the kid -- no concern about the children.

There is -- there is -- there's not even any real problem with what Foley did, as we've discussed. In their hearts and minds and their crotches, they don't have any problem with what Foley did. They've defended it over the -- over the years.

Let's just go with Limbaugh's asinine assertion here for just a fraction of a second. The teenager was convinced by "somebody" to set Mark Foley up. Well...the creepy bastard took the bait, did he not? You know what Rush? Dateline does that too with sick and twisted fucks who prey on teenage girls on MySpace. It's called To Catch a Predator Their staff pretends to be underage prey, convincing the stalker to meet them for sex, and then Dateline lies in wait, along with the authorities, for the ambush when the criminal shows up. Where's your outrage for Dateline, Rush? Huh? Hmmmmmm? Fat bastard.

A Rose by Any Other Name

Have you noticed the term that Republican lawmakers and Republican spokespersons alike have used to describe the current criminal behavior by Republican Mark Foley? Sex scandal. Yes, that's what they're calling it. A sex scandal.

No, you dolts. It's not a sex scandal. If the victim(s) had been 18 and older, THEN it would be a sex scandal. What it is, is a crime. It's pedophelia. Soliciting adolescents for any kind of sexual gratification is a crime. What it is not, is a sex scandal. Why are they shying away from what it is? Why are they afraid to call it by it's appropriate name? Why deflect by comparing it to real sex scandals such as extramarital affairs or homosexual liasons between conscenting ADULTS conducted by our elected officials? White House spokesperson, Tony Snow, even referred to it as "simply naughty emails". Really Tony? What if it had been your son who had received those graphic emails and IM's?
One question concerned Snow's statement on CNN this morning, referring to the graphic emails to "simply naughty emails." Snow tried to explain that a bit, admitting that he may have sounded "a little bit too glib."

Is "glib" the proper response to such a heinous action? For a Republican it seems to be.

It just goes to show how low the Republicans will sink in order to protect their own in the name of politics. It proves that they are only interested in serving their own self interests and not concerned one iota with protecting the citizens and the citizens children from preditors. Why don't they give Mark Foley's criminal actions the same consideration that is given to hot, female teachers who molest their adolescent male students?
