Magdalene & Jesus Sittin' in a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G

The Da Vinci Code grossed $224 million in it's opening weekend, worldwide. And that was WITH the controversy and criticism. So suck that fundies! Newsflash...it's just a movie.

I have not yet seen the movie, but since I already read the book, I'm certain the movie won't be nearly as suspenseful as it would have been had I not read the book. The main reason I'll go to the movie is because other people are trying to tell me I shouldn't. And, miraculously, even though I read the book, I find my faith is still intact. Will wonders never cease.

I'm probably the only person left on earth who hasn't read this book. I would like to before I see the movie though. As is usually the case, the book is better than the movie. So far the only exception I've found to this rule is "Brokeback Mountain". The movie, IMO, had much more depth than the book.

It's a shame that the confidence one should feel in their religious faith would think that a movie could threaten it.
