Death Doesn't Become Us

Kudos to the Philippines for abolishing the death penalty in their country. It's a shame I can't say the same for my own country...the only western super power to still impose this archaic form of punishment upon its people. Note the list of countries that still use this travesty (and those who don't):

Death Penalty Worldwide

Don't ya just love having our ideals lumped together with those of Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Riwanda, Sudan, North Korea, Cuba, and Libya? If you do, you just might not be a liberal.

Agreed. Longer prison terms and terms with NO potential for getting out early for major crimes, especially against children. NO "liberal" lienient judicial. Strict terms adheared to totally.

Yes, exactly. He actually made sure that the electricity was directly linked to his Ranches kitchen wall switch. That way every time he turned on the lights he got the pleasure of killing someone. When dinner was over he would call the next prisoner to be executed and prank him over the phone. Like, " Hey, this is the governor, and I have officially pardoned you", then when the convict says "really", Bush would say " nah, gotcha".

And yes, I am just kidding.

From the National Review, 1999...

[In the week before [Karla Faye Tucker's] execution, Bush says, Bianca Jagger and a number of other protesters came to Austin to demand clemency for Tucker. "Did you meet with any of them?" I ask.

Bush whips around and stares at me. "No, I didn't meet with any of them," he snaps, as though I've just asked the dumbest, most offensive question ever posed. "I didn't meet with Larry King either when he came down for it. I watched his interview with [Tucker], though. He asked her real difficult questions, like 'What would you say to Governor Bush?' "

"What was her answer?" I wonder.

"Please," Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, "don't kill me." ]

Perhaps "mocking them" was what Mr. Marsh was going for?

Its sad that you have to "interpret" for your fellow liberals TF. You defend them all well and they should all be indebted to you for making them look smarter.

Next post by a lib, can you please hurry up and interpret BEFORE I comment then! See, I comment on what THEY write and on THEIR words, not YOUR analysis of what you think they said.

I will patiently wait for your interpretation of the next liberal post before I comment.

Thank you

Sorry, I now assume he is a friend of yours. My fault for not seeing that initially. As is Dumbo too I assume. My error.
